Responsible for:

Provision of support to the programme management team to assist in the effective management of development programmes to ensure completion on time, on cost and to customers' satisfaction

 

 

 

Qualifications/Experience:

Essential -

Expert user of MS Project and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable -

Competency in SAP PS/Familiarisation with JDE

Outline of Job Requirements:

 

•  Provide support to a number of programme managers across a broad range of engineering development programmes to ensure that the relevant tools and processes are effectively administered.

•  Assistance in the creation of adequately detailed and resourced project plans. Primary responsibility for maintenance of project plans to ensure that progress and cost to complete to be objectively measured and issues highlighted at the earliest possible time.

•  Ensuring that accurate information is input to SAP PS and other relevant tools to ensure that demand is properly driven through the MRP system and that engineering drawings and specifications are available on time to support procurement activities.

•  Assistance in sourcing and inputting data to ensure effective cost control against agreed budgets within the work breakdown structure.

•  Assistance in monthly reporting of project and financial performance, including EVM and other metrics.

•  Regular input to and involvement in the department's resource management process to enable appropriate and available personnel to be effectively shared across programmes.

•  Assistance in risk management as directed by the programme managers.

•  Actively participating in the company's ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) initiative, with particular focus on process improvement and standardisation of processes across all projects.

•  All employees shall comply with EH&S Policy, report unsafe practices or conditions to supervision for prompt resolution, attend scheduled EH&S training programs, actively support the meeting of EH&S targets and plans, and recommend improved EH&S practices wherever possible.
