Reporting to:

Supply Chain Manager

Responsible for:

 

Managing Electronics outsourcing activity (QCD).

Liaising with Integrated Product and Product Design teams.

Supplier Search and Selection.

Project Management of Electronics outsourcing programmes

 

 

 

 

Qualifications/Experience:

Essential -

Engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years in the Aerospace/Defence environment in the development of electronic equipment.

 

Experience in:

•  Project Management

•  Supplier search and selection

•  Tendering, Proposal Assessment

•  Procurement ( ideally electronics )

 

Desirable -

Experience in Electro- Mechanical Actuation. Contract Management

Outline of Job Requirements:

•  Identify suppliers with capability to management Claverham outsourcing requirements.

•  Manage the supplier selection process in conjunction with QA/Product Design/ Manufacturing Engineering teams.

•  Manage outsourcing activity from product concept to hardware/software deliverables.

•  Generate project plans to ensure that milestones are understood and achieved.

•  Work with bid teams to generate competitive bids for new projects and ensure projects are delivered to budget.

•  Manage tendering process and develop standard work for tendering process and tender evaluation process.

•  Manage technical liaison between Claverham design team and supplier.

•  Change management

•  Management of product obsolescence and recommendations to avoid designing obsolescent material/components

•  Liaise with other HS sites worldwide to ensure we adopt best practice in outsourcing Electronic Assemblies

•  Gather intelligence on developments in Electronic Assembly market and ensure that our suppliers are investing in the right technology for future projects.

•  To further improve and adhere to company standard work.

•  To carry out the above tasks working within the relevant Company Procedures

•  To produce quality work at all times.

•  To ensure the safety of both the design and working environment.
