The effective and efficient production and maintenance of the company Technical Publication requirements

 

 

 

Qualifications/Experience:

Essential -

3 years as a Technical Author, or equivalent experience of working in an aircraft maintenance environment with actuation devices.

Desirable -

Familiarity with publishing/word software, hydraulic/electronic knowledge

Outline of Job Requirements:

•  Create accurate and detailed component maintenance procedures including text and illustrations.

•  Documents to include Component maintenance manuals (CMM) for repair and overhaul, product service bulletins etc.

•  To carry out work to, and help to develop and maintain, current Standard Work processes.

•  Interpret and understand engineering design drawings for both hydro and electro-mechanical actuation products.

•  Understand or have the capability to learn the various industry recognised specifications, eg ATA100 & 2200, AECMA1000D & 2000M etc.

•  Produce documents using Word2000, Word perfect12, Corel draw or similar.

•  Organise and manage tasks to budget and on time using sub-contract external companies where necessary.

•  Understand engineering configuration control and be able to recognise and introduce amendments/revisions to existing technical documentation.

•  Maintain and up-date departmental records, customer details etc.

•  Assist with verification of CCM's.

•  To undertake training as necessary.
